The Lieder Project is a collaborative, computational research project looking at the relationship between the sounds of poetry and the structure of the music it to which it is set. David Lonowski (CU–Boulder), Jordan Pyle (CU–Boulder), Stephen Rodgers (U Oregon), Kris Shaffer (CU–Boulder & Univ. of Mary Washington), Leigh VanHandel (Michigan State U).
This was an active project for some time, but has since been put on (permanent?) hiatus. Following are the blog posts we produced during the course of the project. And if you'd like to play around with our data, scripts, or even resurrect the project yourself, check out our work on GitHub.
